If you were to be fourth official to any referee in the world, who would it be?

Myself just to watch and see what I could do better.

Hello Chris, just a quick one... What are your best ways to man-manage players? Do you use humour, maintain a stricter stance, try to come across as just a normal guy, or even a teacher type etc...

Humour is good in certain circumstances but in other ways it is a non starter. Use it wisely !

how would you deal with abuse from younger chrildren at grassroots football

I wouldn’t tolerate it. You must use the captains and in some cases the management of that club. Respect is a major player in the modern game and people should be reminded that we as referees are not there to be abused.

I'm a level 8 referee and was wondering what advice you would give to someone that wants to get to the top of the game.

You must have a thorough knowledge of the laws of the game, be physically fit and a good communicator.
