I was just wondering what your views are on the Respect Programme, and whether or not, in your opinion, it is working. I've not been a referee for long and am currently officiating U16 and U17 matches, and in my opinion, it is working at this level. From what I can see the PL players haven't really got to grips with the absurdity of respecting the referee, but do you see it any differently?
I personally believe that the Respect Programme is working well. With Players, Managers and Officials backing the programme it can only improve the image of the game.

Lee, How do you deal with dissent? Do you talk 1st, then if it continues, yellow card? I am a young referee trying to find ways to deal with certain incidents
Using the Respect Programme you could possibly use the team captains influence to deal with the player in question, but if the player is guilty of clear and open dissent then he must be cautioned.

Hi Lee, Did it frustrate you that alot of your game were in leagues 1,2 and the championship at the begining of the season? But it seems you are getting more prem games so maybe thats were you will stay.
As a Select Group Referee every appointment I receive requires my maximum focus and attention. With 10 Premier League and 5 Football League fixtures each weekend and currently 20 Select Group Referees it is inevitable that a number of my appointments will be within these divisions.
Alex Pegler, England
Hi Lee, do you think the laws of the game should be amended to make dissent a dismissable offence?
I do not believe we need to amend the laws of the game about dissent as I think they are quite clear on how we should deal with the issue.
