U17 WORLD CUP BLOG - PART 6
HOWARD WEBB, DARREN CANN AND MIKE MULLARKEY PROVIDE THEIR LATEST UPDATE FROM NIGERIA
The Select Group trio of Howard Webb, Darren Cann and Mike Mullarkey are back with their latest round-up of events at the FIFA Under-17 World Cup.
Here is their latest update from a warm and thankfully dry Nigeria.
We travelled back to Abuja on Sunday, and Monday and Tuesday were then rest days with the round of 16 taking place today (Wednesday) and tomorrow.
I've been appointed as 4th official for the match Mexico versus Korea in a town called Bauchi, north of Abuja, tomorrow evening. The referee team is from South Africa, led by Jerome Damon.
Darren and Mike will remain in Abuja for training and no doubt a little rest and relaxation whilst I'm away working hard! They will also get the chance to visit the national stadium this evening as VIP guests to watch the match between Nigeria and New Zealand, which is being refereed by this year’s Champions League Final referee Massimo Bussaca.
I will return to base camp in Abuja on Friday. The quarter-final stage starts at the weekend and we look forward to bringing you further updates before then.
Stay Tuned: The trio will be providing regular updates from Nigeria during the tournament so please visit refworld.com again soon.
