This weekend officials will take part in the FIFA Fitness Tests for Referees and Assistant Referees, which have superseded the PGMOL fitness tests that they would traditionally take part in at this time of year. The tests will measure their average running speed during repeated fast runs over a specific match distance and their capacity to perform repeated high-intensity runs.
