PGMOL PRESENT AT LMA MEETING
General Manager Keith Hackett meets with managers
PGMOL General Manager Keith Hackett was at Adams Park, home of Wycombe Wanderers, on Thursday for the annual League Managers Association meeting.
Attendance at the event is compulsory for all Football League managers, who are briefed on any rule changes ahead of the new season. Similar events are being held at Walsall and Huddersfield, and they provide a great opportunity for the managers to get together before the season kicks off.
Following a similar format to the PGMOL conference last month, Keith briefed the managers on three main areas; the removal of jewellery prior to matches, interpretation of the offside rule and dangerous tackling with intent to cause injury.
As well as a presentation from the PGMOL, managers received briefings on a number of other topics from representatives from the Football Association, the League Managers Association, the Professional Footballer’s Association and the Football League.
