PGMOL AND PROZONE ANNOUNCE JOINT VENTURE
The PGMOL and ProZone have embarked on a joint venture in producing a series of educational products
The PGMOL and ProZone have embarked on a joint venture in producing a series of educational products that target referees, players and fans at both the elite and grass roots levels.
The idea is to educate participants at all levels of the game on the Laws of the Game and the processes referees go through in order to reach decisions. The first DVD's to be produced have been The Referee Academy that covers all 17 Laws, and Offside: Match Incident Analysis, that concentrates specifically on Law 11.
Speaking on the new venture the Keith Hackett, PGMOL General Manager, commented: "Both the PGMOL and ProZone are working together in order to improve the game at all levels. In partnership with ProZone we are producing a series of educational DVD's aimed at explaining how we as officials interpret and correctly apply the Laws of the Game. In this way the expertise we have at the very highest level gets cascaded down to grass roots level. The PGMOL's partnership with ProZone is critical to its success."
