DOWD NAMED REFEREE FOR CARLING CUP FINAL
OFFICIALS NAMED FOR THE WEMBLEY DATE LATER THIS MONTH
The officials have been announced for the Carling Cup Final between Aston Villa and Manchester United later this month.
Phil Dowd will be in charge of proceedings at Wembley with his Assistants Shaun Procter-Green and David Richardson, while Lee Mason is the Fourth Official.
It will be the first time the Stoke born official has taken charge of a major final, although he was previously the Fourth Official in the 2006 FA Cup Final between Liverpool and West Ham United at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
