Paddy was promoted to the Select Group of Assistant Referees in 2007 and was appointed as an Assistant Referee to the 2007 FA Youth Challenge Cup Final and a Football League One Play-Off Semi Final in the same year
How did you get introduced into refereeing?
Because in one season I got sent off 3 x times decided to join them rather than beat them
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Being promoted on to the select group
What is the best game you have officiated and why?
FA Youth Cup Final because it was first visit to Anfield
What are your aims as a Select Group Assistant Referee?
Maintain my place for the next 3 years and be involved in as many games as possible
What skills do you think you need to become a Select Group Assistant Referee?
Dedication, take on development points that are offered, single minded Commitment
Who has been the biggest influence in your career and why?
Lads who I associate with at grass roots football they help keep feet on the floor, love working with people at the sharp end of the game
