What is the best game you have officiated?
The best game I have officiated on was probably Portsmouth V Barnsley in the 2001/2002 season. It was 4-4, two penalties, one sending off and my first Division 1 match (as it was then) of my career. The game had everything.

My aims are to officiate on as many Premier league games I can and enjoy myself in the process.

One of the biggest influences on my career has been someone called Peter Crowhurst. He did a lot of work in my local area and saw me through the early stages of my career.

The best assistant referee was and still is Phil Sharp. He has officiated at all the major cup finals and conducts himself in an impeccable manner. You can learn a great deal from someone like Phil.
